Job Description:

As our marina office staff member, you will serve as the first point of contact for our customers. You will answer inquiries, make reservations, respond to phone calls, update our booking system, and help co-ordinate operations. We are currently looking to fill this as a seasonal position, though for the right candidate, we may be able to offer limited work throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service, both in-person and through phone or email communications.
  • Complete a ROC(M) radio course as part of your training to ensure effective and safe communication across marina operations.
  • Accurately process transactions and uphold cash handling procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the office space and assist with maintaining bathrooms, docks, and/or general marina cleanliness.
  • Inform and enforce marina policies, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
  • Facilitate the safe arrival and departure of vessels, including the use of walkie-talkies for effective communication with boaters and team members.
  • Work independently and with a team to solve problems and make decisions that enhance guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Available on weekends throughout the summer.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable being firm yet courteous in policy enforcement.
  • Strong computer and technology skills for efficient operation of the marina’s booking and transaction systems.
  • A team player who thrives in both leadership and supportive roles within a dynamic team environment.
  • Professional and detail-oriented.
  • Willingness to undertake a variety of tasks, from office administration to hands-on maintenance and customer service duties.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize workload.
  • Previous knowledge of boating and marina operations is an advantage but not required.
